Bluetooth is not just for transferring information between phones and headsets anymore. There are so many different things you can do with Bluetooth, from wireless speakers to full QWERTY keyboards for your tablet. Companies such as Jawbone, Logitech, Jabra, and ZAGG make Bluetooth devices that can help make your mobile life a lot easier!
Keyboards
Have an iPad? Well have you thought about getting a case that has a Bluetooth keyboard that is built in for your iPad? ZAGG (they also make really good screen protectors – if you don’t have one you should check them out), Targus, and Logitech are a few companies that make such a case to help you type on your iPad a lot easier than using the on-screen keyboard.
ZAGG’s folio case with Bluetooth keyboard is quite the setup. It features a built-in re-chargeable battery and stand, and has microfiber lining to help prevent damage. Once you connect it through Bluetooth to your iPad, you can use it for all of your typing. If you already have a case that you like you can just use the keyboard separately.
Targus has a similar model, the Versavu Bluetooth keyboard case, which allows you to use your iPad in both landscape and portrait mode so you can view your document, email, or whatever else you may be typing in the format that is easiest for you. This case also has a spot to store your stylus, so you can have all of your iPad essentials right there with you.
Logitech’s Ultrathin keyboard cover also has some cool features. Their design is so thin, that at first look you would not think it could double as a cover, but it can. Magnets in the cover let it attach securely to the iPad. These magnets also double as an instant on/off feature so when you open your iPad it wakes up, and when you put it back in the case it goes to sleep.
Music
Want to push more volume through your Bluetooth device? Look to Jawbone and Jabra, who are making some really cool accessories that push some BIG sound through a small speaker!
Jawbone’s Jambox comes in a couple different sizes as well as colors like red, grey, or white. This speaker can be used with Bluetooth or connected to your device through a standard 3.5mm cable. You can even use it for phone calls via a built-in microphone!
Jabra’s Solemate offers a little different design with a non-slip rubber sole at the bottom. Within the sole there is a groove for the 3.5mm stereo audio cable that comes with the speaker. The Solemate also comes in black or white, and has a carrying strap attached to it for easy portability.
With today’s Bluetooth technology you don’t need cables to connect your devices to their accessories, and Bluetooth is not just for transferring contacts or pictures from one device to another anymore.
